I have a very heavy philippine mahogony table that is in bad need of refinishing. It's carved in some places that i can't see getting a piece of sandpaper in there.
1) what is the best stripper that makes the job easy to remove all the stain?
2) what is the best way to fix the dings and scratches after getting the table stripped?
3) recommended type of stain to re-apply?
thanks in advance

No stripper is going to remove stain that is in the wood. For that you need a bleach - after the table is stripped.

As for strippers, my personal favorite is Strypeeze, by Savogran. There are adherents of Zip Strip and Peel Away 7 as well.

Scratches usually have to be sanded out. Dents and dings can sometimes be steamed out. The method for that (after stripping) is to apply a wet folded hand towel to the dent. Press a hot iron on the towel and let the steam work to swell the wood. This method generally works well on mahogany. It may take several efforts (with drying time between) before the indentation is completely removed. This method will work (to a lesser extent) on veneer as well.

I have used Minwax, Carver-Tripp, and Zar. They all make a fine stain. I would suggest you stick with a name brand and look for the color you want, rather than a specific brand, and follow the manufacturers suggestions.
