Is it safe to operate a fireplace without a damper using glass doors that fit tightly to the brick? If so, are there any recommendations on the type of door to purchase.
Thanks,
Rick

Yes, it is safe to install fireplace glass doors on a fireplace with or without a damper, and it will make the fireplace more energy efficient.
There are a multitude of choices for fireplace doors, and they are very easy to install.
Some come with blower grates, some without. Just shop around at fireplace stores or big box stores that sell them.
Good Luck!
