Framing of Wood Steps, from 18" high deck, Steps 14 Ft. Long. 2 x 6 Treads and Decking. Support of end step stringers at grade line?

A pre-fab air conditioner pad (concrete) works great.

Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't think of using a Air Conditioner Pad, could also use a Water Heater Pad or even a Concrete Stepping stone. Even these may be to thin to take the deck weight, and change in soil movement, expansive soil. I am a Building designer and have not seen this question addressed in the way of building decks, to keep the Stair Stringers above ground, out of moisture and above ground water.
Thanks again.

It is not a new idea, and I can't claim it as my own.
