I have a veneer desk and would like to paint it. What do I need to do and what kind of paint can I use, if any. Thanks

Joanne:

If the piece has a finish on it, you need to sand the finish enough for a new finish to adhere. You don't need to sand teh finish off, just dull it completely.

Use a good primer, such as BIN or KILZ 92 coats, sanding lightly after each has dried) then paint with the finish of your choice.

I would suggest an exterior house/trim paint, either oil or latex (more durable).
