I am interested in installing my own Slit Unit AC System. As I see it, I will need to do the following:
1) Power to the Compressor, which I will mount outside on some cinder blocks.
2) Power to the Blower, which I will mount on the interior wall.
3) Piping between the Compressor and Blower.
I have the following questions:
1) Do these systems come charged or will I need a technician to come charge the system once installed? How much should this run?
2) Is the piping easy to seal? I have never had much luck with compression fittings.
3) Have I missed any steps.
4) Can anyone recommend a discount source (online or mail order is fine) for the parts or an AC distributor in NY that will sell to a homeowner.
Thanks.
