We've moved into an old brick row house and the fence (poorly constructed)on our rear deck, which gives us privacy from our neighbours, blew over in a wind storm. It originally extended about 10' from the house to the end of the deck. It was supported by a 4x4 post at its middle and end but not at the house.
What is the best way to start and tie in the new fence at the house to ensure stability? A possible design factor is the original concrete porch which still sits about a foot below the wood deck. The 4x4 posts are still solid and standing.

Cheers
