I want to move a door, but a heating duct runs through the space where I want to put the door. The heating duct is for a forced hot air furnace. It is passing straight up through two floors to a finished third floor. Can I rerout the duct or should I cap it and put electric baseboard heating on the third floor? Moving the door to another location won't work.

Either/Or. Do what can. Sometimes moving one is more trouble than it's worth, esp. if you got alturnitives.
