View Full Version : Door Frame replacement

The front door of my house has this door frame that essentially has the screws on the storm door ripped out a number of times, as well as having holes from someone who must have tried to install a door lock ... but I want to replace the entire door and the door frame at the same time.
What I would like to do is have an idea of what I should do to get it done all in one shot. I'm pretty much a rookie, but willing to do it and screw it up and do it again!

thanks
scott

The best (least expensive and fastest) way to go is with a pre-hung door (frame and all), and then just trim it out.
Just shop at large building supply houses.
There are many types of exterior doors that will look great.
Good Luck!
