I have plastered ceiling painted with semi gloss oil based paint. I want to cover the ceiling with dry wall mud to cover the defects. Will the mud stick to the painted surface? If not, what will I need to do prepare the surface so the mud will stick. I do not want to get into using texture paint. Thank You tlh99
