we have the same heating problem as the person earlier. The AC was working two days ago and now the heat will not come on and the fan will not come on. We checked the doors and we have gas heat and we check the thermostat to make sure the wires are tight and everything is fine but yet the heat still doesn't come on. WHAT CAN WE DO!!!!!!!

A common problem with your symptoms: Is a blown fuse(24v) or blown transformer(if not fused) due to a bad or sticking contactor on the a/c unit. Check for 24v at the furnace transformer.

if this is a high-effiency unit it has either a power ventor or draft inducer is it running, if it is do you see either a sparking or an orange glow in the combustion chamber, does it light a pilot or does it go off on lock out after a couple of trys describe to me what it is doing
