I had some hardwood floors re-done and the guys who did it filled in the large cracks between the boards with some sort of wood filler. I would like to use the same type of stuff on another floor. Does anyone know what it would have been? I think they troweled it on. Some of the cracks were a half inch wide and a half in deep and it is holding up very well. I tried to get in touch with the guy who did the other room bu can't find him.

Contact the folks who did your floors. Fillers usually do not fare well because of expansion and contraction. I have seen the fillers pop out.
