We have a 60" cast iron tub that we have to take out because the floor under it is rotting. The tub fits into an alcove that is exactly 60" wide. How can we get it out? We don't care if we destroy the tub, but we really don't want to cut a hole in the wall. We have been told that it will break if you take a sledgehammer to it, but we've pounded on it for a while and only got the finish off. We asked a relative who is a welder if a cutting torch would work, but he said it would burn the house down. Help!
