We have just removed mylar wallpaper from bathroom walls and need to know the next step. We are down to the original drywall and it has some flaws (water damage, nicks caused from removing paper, discolor.) What next???? In the rest of the house the painted wall surfaces are textured but we are with a flat surface now in the bathroom. How do I repair walls and prep them for painting? Is it recommended to texture bathroom walls and if so how do I do that? Once repairs are done does the wall need to be sanded before painting?
