the water in my kitchen sink is not draining so i took the trap set apart and checked they were clear so that left the big iron pipe going into the wall ,i have a small snake that i was able to only get about 6 inches in though the turns on the part outside the wall i could get no further i don't think its the clog stopping me but maybe the turns what can i try.

That's probably your clog. In iron pipe, you will get very tough clots of rust mixed with grease, hair, etc. It can be tough to power thru with a hand held auger.
One trick that sometimes works is to take a shop vac and suck thru that wall stub out. Often this will pull the junk out, or loosen it enough to be able to grind thru it with a snake.
