Hi, my husband and I just bought a mobile home and we are wanting to put a deck around the back door.We can not afford much right now but I would like to find a plan that would not kick or savings to bad.I want something that is about a 8 by 16.My problem is I can not find any plans that will match our budget.Can you please help me.

Make a rough sketch of what you would like to have. Include the dimensions of the deck, as well as how high off the ground it will be.
Take the sketch around to various bilding supplies in your area and ask them to do a 'take-off' (list of materials) from your sketch and price the materials.
From this rough information, you're going to get lists that vary somewhat, because each supplier will have their own ideas as to how to build what you propose.
If none of the lists come back within your budget, downsize and try again. If one comes close, ask how the materials are used (how the deck is put together).
