I need to replace the screen on our porch. I know how to take the old screen down, but I would like to know how to measure for new screen. Also, I would like to know which tools I will need for this project. The porch is small.

First, how is the existing screen attached now? You will probably have to put in the new screening the same way, whether it is splined in place, retained by screen molding or lath, or whatever. You can get window screen in rolls up to 48" wide and up to 100' long at any home center or big box store. Another option would be to call a local Screenmobile if there is one in your area. Get a quote on having them come replace the screens.
