I've seen a few posts asking about painting brick, and replies suggesting that the DYIer consider masonry stain.

Does masonry stain come in an array of colors, can it be tinted, or is one pretty much stuck with what one can find at the paint store (I'm looking for something, say, in a tan sort of color).
