HI! I am new at this and am wondering if you can hang wallpaper over wallpaper? If so, so you need to paint some type of primer on the wall first? The paper is in the kitchen of a two year old house (the current paper was put up by the builder two years ago). It is a very big room and I've heard horror stories about trying to take wallpaper down, quite frankly I'm SCARED! Please help! Oh, I'm also afraid the walls were not primed well originally and if I try to take this paper off I may take the wall off with it.
Thanks in advance for any advise!

ginasim707, I typed a reply to your question days ago and submitted but I just now see that it didn't post. Sorry! To hang over paper the best way to prime is with an oil primer like KILZ Original. 2nd choice is a latex primer like Zinsser 123, KILZ Total, KILZ II or Zinsser Universal Wallcovering Primer. The only thing that may happen with the latex is you may get some bubbles that should dry out. Having answered your question I would like to advise that you try a small area to see if the paper will come off. Try some Dif by Zinsser, let soak and re-wet and you may get lucky and end up with a good wall....Mike
