Hi, I have a cinder block house and around the windows is plywood and I wanted to put stone over the wood instead of siding and I wanted to know how to do that and if there is anything special I need or need to do. By the way the wood is covered with tyvek house wrap and do I have to remove that or can I put the stone over that. Thanks

Real cut stone coping around a window is beyond a "how to" doityourself project. Anchors are set into the wall to affix the stone to. The anchors are set according to a plan for the type and size of coping.

If you're interested a good book on stonemasonry is "The Art of the Stonemason" by Ian Cramb.

Lightweight imitation stone (a cast concrete product) can be mortared directly to the block.

If real stone veneer for the wall is included consult an engineer. A concrete grade beam (foundation for the stone) is required to support it.
