Yes I am going to put down a new vinyl floor in a bathroom and the question is it has a carpet strip where it goes from bath to bedroom I think it is nailed down then carpet goes up in it and catches. If I pull that up to get vinyl under will the carpet be pull back or will I have to get it kicked back? Thanks Steve

By carpet strip, do you mean a "tackstrip" and Z-bar metal or exposed "crimp metal"? If you remove the transition, you may be able to reuse it, if your careful when removing it.

If you trash it, then you will need to replace it with a new piece. Then stretch the carpet back to it.
