I'm looking at buying a framing nailer to builg a garage, but I'm kind of concerned about the selection of nails available. It seems that instead of using 3 1/2" nails all they have available is 3 1/4". Are these suitable for framing?

Those are the ones. America is built with them. Millions are put in every day.

When you use 3 1/2" nails to nail two 2x4 together you end up with shirt tearers. Often times you end up bending them over. I use 3" nails lots. Eliminates the additional labor of messing with bending over sharp ends.
