I'm trying to figure out how to remove a few bricks,(about 4), from the middle of a exterior huose wall. Ineed to remove them in order to repair electrical house wiring and did not want to damage the interior walls plaster. So how do you go about cutting out just a feww bricks from the middle of the wall. of course after I repair the wiring I'll have to replace the bricks.

Low tech removal: cut the mortar with a club hammer and masons cold chisels. Faster & more unwieldy: a 7 1/2" to 9" portable grinder with a masonry disk or a die grinder with a straight carbide bit.
Remove all mortar & wire brush. Dampen, apply mortar, refit. Wait a while before setting the last brick. To lay apply opposing triangular wedges of mortar (in the hole and on the brick to be laid) then slip in place. If necessary apply wedges to ends and bottom only then pack the last joint solid with mortar. After about 20 minutes set time (thumb print hard) strike the joints to compact the mortar.
