I'm going to take out a wall-to-wall carpet in a small room in my home. It's old and thin but I've never done this before. Any tips? Thanks.

Pull it up off the tackstrip around the edges first. Then you can either fold each side over like folding a letter before putting it in an envelope, then roll it up from the end keeping it tightly rolled. Or cut it into manageable widths and rolling it up, if your not trying to save it.
