I have rugs that won't stay in place on top of the carpeting. So I bought some of those sticky mats that you put on the back of your rugs that help to hold them in place so they don't move. BAD IDEA!!!!!! Now I can't get the sticky off of my carpet and the dirt is just sticking to it and looking dirtier. And our feet even stick to it. Any ideas what I can do. I have tried cleaning with a steam cleaner and it takes up some of the dirt but the sticky is still there.I don't know what else to try. HELP!!

Try some "Goof-off" Look in the cleaning isle at the grocery store.
