I found a product that will bring the shine back to marble floors that have been dulled by traffic, pets laying on it, spilled drinks, etc It is called Rhino Crystallizer Marble Polish. Using a pump bottle to mist an area about 6 square feet and then buffing it with a white pad until it shines like a mirror. My Question is, Do you have to use a low speed buffing machine, (145 rpm) or can you use a high speed buffing machine, (2000 rpm) I am using a low speed buffer and it is really difficult to control the buffer due to the resistance of the surface with the crystallizer on it until it finally evaporates and the shin is achieved. I need to buy a new machine and would like to get a high speed buffer as I have heard that they are much easier to control. My reservation is that I was told that a high speed buffer won’t work to bring the shine back to marble using a crystallizer. Does anyone know the answers???

Hi Ed,
The reason a crystalizer will not bring back a shine with a high speed buffer is HEAT a high speed builds up too much heat and is also prone to scratching. I personally use a low speed eliptical-orbital buffer to polish marble. (sort of like a car buffer only a little more heavy duty)In order to do it right you will need to stick to a low speed buffer to make it shine.
