I'm wanting to make some changes to my home, but can't afford to hire someone else to do it. I would like to do it myself, but don't know how to. I am wanting to tear down three walls, to make the kitchen, diningroom, and livingroom open to the other. Please help, I hate how closed up everything is!!!!!

What I would do is get yourself some books on carpentry and read up, then do the same for plumbing, electrical, drywall or plastering, and have at it, but your going to need some help to find out if any of the walls are barring walls, what year was your home built, what state are you in, you could check with your local city officals and see if you have a program that you could get a Government loan at 1 to 3% intrest rate, then hire a city approved contractor to do the work, Good Luck
