Any opinions on porcelin tile vs ceramic. We were told that porcelin is a good imitation of marble or other stone in that the color goes all the way thru yet it does not stain as easily as the various natural stones. One other question, does it cut as easily as ceramic?

It depends on where you want to install it. I always think of porcelain as more of a commerical product..good for Malls and schools since wears so well. I don't really like the stuff in homes, unless it's the polished porcelain..but it's very expensive. There is many more styles and colours to choose from with ceramic. Also, porcelain is very hard to cut, compared to ceramic.
