I removed all the plasterboard and exposed the studs, because of the window extension jambs, I need to apply 1x2 or 1x3 to the studs then sheetrock. I plan to run the furring parallel to the studs. Can I use 2" finish nails or do I need to use common. I have nailers for each, but only have avail supply of finish nails. I will fasten sheetrock w/ 1-5/8 course thread screws. Please let me know which nails and if my plan of installation is ok. Thanks
