I read a post below about the condition of the walls after paper removal. But my walls are worse. There are many places where the drywall has pealed and where the primer and previous patch has come up. The walls are flaky, rough and have gouges in them. It is a bathroom.

What now. Sand, drywall compound, prime, then a painting tech. to try to camo. the walls. I will not wallpaper.

Or as a post below said prime then patch? Or should I take a putty knife to scrape all the flakes? Then prime and patch?

HELP!!!!

netsurfer_rin, Remove whatever loose flakes by scraping, wire brush or whatever it takes. At this point prime with an oil primer. Now you are ready to finish the walls in whatever way you decide on...Mike
