After opening up a sealed skylight and skylight shaft. I discovered the curb or shalft walls to be brick. I would like to cover them to the same finish as the flat white ceiling.

Should I plaster them ? or Drywall them ?

If I plaster them what is the process. How do I prep the walls.

If I drywall over brick what is the process. How do I prep the un maintained walls ? Do I need a moisture barrier ? How to I add Insulation? Would green board be better ? Can I go right inot the brick or do I need to install mounting boards ?
