I have inherited (Bought condo with) a ventless gas fireplace. The fireplace starts fine once the pilot is lite, but after about 20 to 30 minutes the fireplace shuts off. e.g. goes out and turn off the gas.
What Can I do to fix this frustrating appliance.

I'm not an expert on these units, but I've also heard that some are designed to shut off if they're not getting enough oxygen. These units were not designed to be burned for hours at a time. All the owner manuals that I have read state that they can only be used for a few hours at a time, then must be shut down for a period of time. Try and get ahold of the owners manual. If you can't find it, try and find the make and model# of the unit and contact the manufacturer. They should be able to provide you with one.
One other thing, if you don't have a CO dectector in the home, GET ONE!!!
