I would like to paint my tile floor in my bathroom. It is very old tile, probably 30 years old , but it is still in very good condition. The grout is still okay to. I have very small children and would not be able to use anything toxic or that would be harmful for them to breath.

Although home centers sell paint that will cover tile, from a long-term durability standpoint, it's not recommended. patricia@twelvepole.com

I'd like to know if you find out anything! Mine is olive green in a 30 year old house!

You could Tile right over your existing tile . It will be good for another 30 years, non-toxic and the cost is minimal for a brand new floor.

What about painting chipped edges of ceramic tiles? The ceramic tiles on my kitchen floor haven't been produced since the late 80s, I can't replace the chipped tiles. It was installed on top of a vinyl floor by the previous owners, so I can't put another floor on top. I also can't afford to dig up the floor and replace the whole thing, so for now, I'd like to "patch up" the problem tiles.
There are no broken tiles, just some color has come off the edges where the paint or glaze has chipped away and the red clay shows through.
Does anyone make a paint that can be used to touch up those spots nicely? Does anyone know what techniques to use, please?
Thanks!
