Need help in painting brick, i am buying a ranch house with yellow brick and need to change color from yellow to red.Any advice?

Consider using a pigmented masonry stain instead of paint. Many are sold as "concrete stain". One of the paint forum moderators recommends "H & C" sold by Sherwin Williams paint retailers. Otherwise use a primer and paint suited for masonry.
