We have the option of having the whole house screwed and glued will this really be better then using nails on the edges and screwing the field?

Thanks Neal

I would go for the screws not so much the glue it loose its bond with the sheetrock as time goes on, just make sure your hangers fill the feild with at least 45 screws per sheet of 4'x 8' I had a job a few weeks back where the installer put up 4x8 sheets he nailed the edge and put glue and 3 screws in the feild, well needless to say over time the ceiling will bow,the force of gravity is 14.7 pound of pressure on that ceiling at all times, we had to use a drywall lift to push the sheetrock back against the rafters and rescrew the ceiling, then we had to basecoat and skimcoat to make this ceiling look good, to many guys out there like to cut corners and in the long run their corner cutting ends up costing in the end too,
Good Luck
