Our house has wallpaper adhered to the drywall. Can we sand the seams and rough spots (it is very old and in poor condition), then prime it and rehang new wallpaper? We did one room where we soaked the walls and removed the wallpaper but the job took us months just to get the walls ready. Even with that the walls look lumpy because of the hard time we had getting the wallpaper off of the drywall.

sandybob, If you have decided that the paper is not coming down prime with an oil primer like KILZ Original. Do any patching to seams or rough spots and hang...Mike
