I bought all the necessary tools and materials to build a steel frame non-load bearing wall. I was excited to start and I layed out my sketches when boom, my 1 1/4 inch screws would fit. The concrete got sloppy and the screws were to big. I drilled and the drill wouldn't fit far down enough. I have no idea why but I need some help. I have my top tracks in place on both walls but I've been stopped in my tracks because I'm stunned. I tried buying some smaller screws but I don't think that does the trick. I'm having a little problem with that so before I go any further, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Buy a crazy drill, maybe there is another type of screw or something, I don't know, anything. Thank you.

I'm confused- where is your problem? Attaching the track to the concrete floor? Attaching the studs to the track?
