Hi all,
Well..on to the bathroom where I find myself awaiting the evaporation of the moisture that was sitting on the outside walls after removing old tiles and plaster (plaster....I thought I was finally done with metal lath..Urrgh!) I just so happen to have a 32" window box above the soon-to-be jacuzzi and would like to install glass block flush with the 4" tiles...Has anyone done this and if so is there anything I should watch for?
Thanks in Advance!
d.
ps- Winnipeg Home Show this weekend...Can you say "Information Overload!?!??!"

No fair, Derwood. You asked the same question on the "baths" forum, and I replied there.

Are you in Winnipeg? And is the ground not covered with snow there? Brrr.

The ground is always covered in snow in Winnipeg! What do you have ...like 4 ft of ice on the Lake! If you put the block in first..make sure you leave enough overhang, so that when you install the tile, it's flush with the block.

We sometimes set the block in a little and then come up to it with radius bullnose (mud cap, A-4200). This makes for a nice, clean install. I don't think simply cutting the tils around the edges is going to look as finished.
