I currently have a garage which I would like to convert to a subroom. It does not have an entry door from within the house which I would to change although it does have the front car entry opening and a back door. Can anyone tell me where I can view and buy plans and help tips for such projects?

The place to start is at your local bldg. dept. Find out if can eliminate the garage, or if they will require that you replace it with another garage first. Many jurisdictions require that you have a garage.

Hi Lefty. I know there is no problem there. The house originally built in 1960 didn't have a garage until 8 years ago. No other houses in our area have garages. So, I know there is no county requirement in this case.
