Just moved into house with gas furnace in atic.Has not had Gas hooked up to it for 2 yrs.Lit the pilot . Turned the thermostat and you can hear the furnace ignite, but the blower doesn't turn on. Clicking noise can be heard on unit when the thermostat should be turning on the blower. Thanks for any help.

Is this a timed 'on' blower through a circuit board or does it have a fan/limit switch? Are you getting the correct or any voltage the the motor? Are all wires connected? Is clicking noise from trying to turn on blower from t'stat 'on/auto' switch? t'stat does not control blower on/off in heating mode with gas furnace.

place tstat to fan on postion and see if blower starts. If it does not, shut power off and manually try to turn blower assembly. If it is tight and is a sleeve bearing motor you can remove the bearing caps and oil them.3 in 1 oil in the blue can,10 drops of oil per bearing. After oiling, move the blower blades back and forth until they free up.Hope this helps.PDF
