am stripping the wallpaper in our bathroom with the intention of just painting the walls. i think they used superglue to attach it to the dry wall - am using DIF to remove it - unfortunately the dry wall top layers are also coming away in places - even if i sand it down before i prime it, it is gonna be left looking uneven - not pleasant. how can i get a smooth finish that i can paint on? or am i gonna have to texture the walls to disguise this mess?

thanks for your help

kez250, You will have to float out the rough walls or texture them to hide it. After stripping what will come prime with an oil primer before moving ahead. This will prevent lifting of the drywall as you add water based patch...Mike
