My furnace turns off. I have an electric ignitor. When I flip the switch it comes back on for a while. Now when I flip the switch, it does not turn on. What could be the problem? It is a gas. The make is a Honeywell. It will turn on if I remove the panel and replace it quickly (sometimes)

If you mean the panel to the furnace make sure it is seated properly.If not it will not engage the safety interlock.PDF
