I bought a new home with asphalt shingles 6 years ago. Since then I have had a problem with the shingles coming lose. I recently found a lot of nails had come lose/out and I lost a small area of shingles. Under the missing/damaged shingles there is only plywood. Due to the weather, I haven't inspected the roof in almost a year. I'm not sure what has caused the damage to the shingles. I'm getting ready to do some repairs, but am concerned because there wasn't anything,like tar paper under the shingles.

We have not experienced any roof leakage yet. But, I don't think such a new home should be having these problems. What do you think?
