I have a comformaker furance that has auto ignition. The problem that I have is this. My wife turned our furnace up last night about 4 degrees. When I got up this morning it was only 58 degrees in the house and I could hear the blower running on the furance. I saw no flame inside the furance. I did what the instructions said "turn off power, turn down tsat, turn off gas, turn everything back on". I saw an igniter heat up and turn red and a flame began to burn. The blower was running and after 2 or 3 seconds the flame goes out. HELP ME PLEASE.

What you describe sounds very similiar to a problem I had on my Comfortmaker furnace. The problem was a bad flame sensor. I could get the furnace run if I cycled it using either the thermostat or power switch, it would then run to set point but not restart. If you have this type of sensor (Kanthol flame rod), I was told and have tryed lightly buffing the rod using steel wool to clean the carbon from the rod. It worked and confirmed the problem. I have since replaced the rod. They are around $20. The rod is located in the general location of the ignitor and burners and is roughly 1/8" in diameter and around 3" long.
Hope this helps.

You may want to have the heat exchanger checked. Since the burners are lighting and then going out shortly after the blower comes on, makes me think the heat exchanger is cracked and the fan is blowing out the burners and cannot relit. Is this comformaker induced or forced draft?

Thanks for the Help! The Flame Sensor was dirty. I cleaned it and the furnace worked. I decided to buy a new one. Thanks Again.
