Wasn't getting a response in the "Energy and Weatherstripping" forum, so I'll also try here:

Our 15-year-old house has a double-door entryway. We need to redo the weatherstripping, which appears to have been installed very poorly. We can see large gaps, so obviously, it's not doing the job. One of the gaps is a T-shape where the two doors meet the threshhold at the bottom. I'm not sure how to install the stripping to cover that gap, and nothing I've bought has very clear instructions. Can anyone advise?

Thank you!

The T-shape should be attached to the stationary door. Simply apply the weatherstripping to that T-shape and run it long. Cut it off exactly flush with the top of the threshhold. Install a sweep ion the bottom of both doors, and on the stationary door, let the sweep run a bit long, so it ends behind the weatherstripping on the T-shape.
