Here's my question:

With a wood burning fireplace (not yet installed), is it possible to be able to add some way of cooking above the fire? For example, cooking a pizza from the wood burning heat, whether there is an opening or a door. Does this sound like a feasible idea, or am I trying to squeeze blood from a turnip?

There are ovens commercially available for installation above fireplaces. Exactly what you are asking about. Just saw one in a magazine in the dentist's office. I'd do a search and see what you come up with.
