My heating system uses a Bertone kerosine oil burner,the electricity was cut off for approx 2 hours,the burner wont ignite.I've tried pressing the ignite button but have had no luck.Ther is a heavy fall of snow here and I cannot get a plumber to call.

Have you checked the circuit breaker/fuse? You may just have to wait it out.
