I have just had a new hot water heater replaced.
I have lost water pressure in upper level bathroom
sinks and showers. Is there something that I can do
to fix? Two people were taking showers at the
same time and also one person using the bathroom
sink. I have one handle pull out knobs.
Help!

Need more information. Obvious first question is why did you replace a new hot water heater?
Is the replacement heater gas or electric and what size is it?
Were you able to have sufficient hot water with two people taking a shower at the same time, before you replaced your new hot water heater?
What type of piping do you have, galvanized, copper, cpvc/pvc, or what?
Are you on a well or public water? Do you have a pressure control valve in your main water supply line?

Rick,
We live in a 2 story townhouse with 3 people.
We had a 40 gal. tank that is 6 years old. We
were not getting enough hot water even if only
one person was taking a shower so we went to
a 50gal tank. We had a plumber come in and replace it.
The tubing is copper and we have public water. It is
a gas heater.
There is a pressure relief valve on the heater.
I even went outside to relieve some pressure from the
hoses. I am getting good pressure on the main floor
but still not enough in the shower.
Any suggestions, I'm trying to do this myself.

Sounds like you may possibly have clogging mineral buildup or debris in your upstairs sink aerators and showerhead.
Remove the showerhead and sink aerators. Run the water without them on.
If the pressure is o.k., then clean out the aerators, and soak the showerhead overnight in vinegar to dissolve any mineral buildup. Use 2-3 wraps of teflon tape clockwise only on the threads of the shower arm before re-installing showerhead.
If the water pressure is NOT o.k. with the aerators and showerhead removed, then you may have a bad diverter in the shower faucet and problems in the sink faucets, and they needs to be repaired or replaced.
Try the cleanout first.
Good Luck!
