I have a KING PALM that I've repotted in a clay pot and placed on my outdoor patio. I used a fairly even mixture of standard potting soil/cactus soil. I watered it after repotting and thought it would thrive. Almost immediately, the fronds began to turn brown. What am I doing wrong?
The pot is a roomy size(approx. 18"wide x 15" deep). I live in southern Calif. Except for some rain,(mild amount), I have'nt watered it since the initial repotting(approx. 3-4 wks). I did not fertilize it. I just don't know.

Please help. My poor 4 foot palm looked so beautiful when I bought it home. What can I do to save it?

Thanks,
