Hi
I want to soundproof a solid core door that is between my office and waiting room in an old (1850's) row house. I would like to avoid using unsightly foam weatherproofing. I have thought about using a double door but there is not really enought space in the small waiting room for a second door to open into it. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

You are probably not going to be able to soundproof the existing door. It wasn't designed to be soundproof. Start checking local lumberyards and door shops for a door that will meet your needs.
