Is there a way to remove old window tint film (it's partially coming off by itself)?

Their are some products on the market for window film removal but the stores that carry them are far and few between. After all is said and done, the quickest method seems to be with the use of a single edge razor in a sturdy holder. Work the top layer of film off first and then spray down the window with a quality foaming glass cleaner from a can such as Sprayway and let it sit for a few minutes and go at it with the razor again. Depending upon how much tint your stripping, it might be a good idea to pick up a quality box of 100. Change the blade frequently for best results.

Hi aikanae, yes I agree with stephen, the only way to remove window film is with a sharp razor blade in a holder, if you can release a corner to grab hold of then pull the film off where it stays use the blade to remove the top layer this will leave the glue on the pane, spray this with a white spirit this will soften the glue, make sure the spray does not get in your eyes or breath it in wear glasses and a breathing mask for your own safty, after the glue has been sprayed wait a few mins and then use the blade to remove the glue when finished spray once more with the white spirit/Alcahol based spray and wipe off this should then remove any residue......
